Spain won the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup hosted by Australia and New Zealand, beating England 1-0 in the final. Fighting in the final for the first time in their history, England and Spain faced off at the Australian Stadium in Sydney, Australia.

Olga Carmona Garcia, who turned Maria Francisca Caldentey's pass into a goal in the 29th minute of the match, gave Spain a 1-0 lead. In the match, which was the scene of great excitement, a shot of England returned from the pole.

With this result, Sweden placed 3rd for the fourth time in the World Cup. Sweden faced Germany in the final in 2003 but lost. Finishing the tournament in 4th place, Australia got its best result in the World Cup.
